WorldSkills: First exam for Damian

The Swiss team starts the competitions in Russia highly motivated and in high spirits.

Federal Councillor Guy Parmelin also emphasized the importance of the World Skills Championships for Switzerland and its vocational training sector. The Swiss Minister for Economic Affairs met the Swiss team and Damian Schmid at his last preparatory weekend in Switzerland: "Switzerland can be proud of this team. I look forward to seeing these highly talented, passionate and motivated professionals in action in Kazan."

Advantage through diverse training
Nothing is left to chance at WorldSkills. After all, the Swiss team wants to confirm or even surpass its outstanding performance from two years ago in Abu Dhabi (20 medals, eleven of which were gold; second place in the national rankings) in Kazan. Rico Cioccarelli, Technical Delegate of wissSkills: "Thanks to our practice-oriented, varied training throughout the apprenticeship, flexibility is one of our greatest assets. We want to turn this advantage, combined with hard training and our passion, into top results once again."

Dario Colucci fights for Galledia in Kazan
The competitions start today on the grounds of Expo Kazan and Dario Colucci of the Galledia is taking his first of four tests today. We are keeping our fingers crossed for Dario Colucci and hope that he can call on all his knowledge and intensive preparation work, in line with his competition motto "Being able to handle pressure".
