Damian Schmid reveals details of his preparations and his chances in Kazan in the video.

The 19-year-old is part of the Swiss delegation of 42 competitors and 43 experts who are traveling to the capital of the Russian Republic of Tatarstan, some 3500 kilometers away.
The young Swiss professionals compete in 40 different professions with over 1500 participants from around 60 nations.

Intensive preparations
Damian Schmid has set himself clear goals for the WorldSkills. The intensive preparations of recent months should bear fruit. Thanks to training partners Renault Suisse, Toyota Switzerland, Kia Switzerland, STFW Winterthur, the AGVS training center in St. Gallen, AGVS Switzerland and Mobilcity Bern, Damian Schmid feels ready for Mission Gold.

P.S. After Dario Colucci, apprentice printing technologist at Galledia Flawil, achieved second place at SwissSkills 2018, he was able to qualify for the World Skills Championships. He will take part in WorldSkills 2019 as a Swiss participant in the "Print Media Technology" category.
