The result of the vote by 86 renowned motor journalists from around the world was announced with a virtual circuit. The jury chose the Kia Telluride, a classic SUV that will initially only be offered in the USA as well as in the Middle East.
Fine sense for buyer preferences
With a smooth five meters in length, optional all-wheel drive and a 295-hp 3.8-liter V6 under the hood, this choice sends an important signal: Normality is moving in, and the trade journalists have a keen sense of car buyers' preferences.
Two awards for Porsche
That doesn't mean there aren't interesting niches for electric cars as well: The Porsche Taycan won the "World Luxury Car" and "World Performance Car" categories. The electric Kia e-Soul was named "World Urban Car" by the jury.
