WayRay: Info directly on the road 🎥

VIRTUAL REALITY The Swiss deep-tech company WayRay has unveiled the world's first car with holographic glazing. The on-board holographic displays break new ground in the WayRay hologractor.

WayRay is presenting a completely new generation of head-up displays in the Holograktor demonstrator vehicle.

After seven years of research, the Swiss company WayRay has now made the breakthrough to production readiness thanks to its pioneering work with lasers, windshield coatings and new materials. Its holographic deep reality head-up display can be integrated into any vehicle.

Vitaly Ponomarev, founder and CEO of WayRay: "This may still seem futuristic to most of us, but the technology is now ready for mass production."

Integration of virtual reality
The Deep Reality Display projects a virtual image onto a small part of the windshield surface, but integrates the interface elements behind it with high color saturation.

Passengers see how virtual and actual reality merge seamlessly as soon as the coated windshield or side window is hit by the beams of WayRay's own laser unit.

Saturation of colors and accuracy
The Holograktor demonstration model, a 4.42 meter long battery electric vehicle, was developed to highlight the holographic displays that WayRay is using to usher in a new era. The three-seater hologractor can be driven either conventionally or remotely via a 5G and satellite internet connection.

The WayRay True holographic displays require only ten percent of the space of a conventional head-up display in the dashboard. They also offer significant improvements in color saturation and accuracy.

Partner of well-known automobile manufacturers
Backed by early investment from companies such as Porsche, Hyundai and Alibaba, WayRay is using the car to move from its status as a deep-tech automotive supplier into the world of new mobility models.

Vitaly Ponomarev: "We will show that we not only want to be a supplier for the industry, but also the technology leader in the field of holography in the automotive sector."
