The decisive factor in favor of gas-powered vehicles, apart from their pleasant driving characteristics, was their environmental friendliness. In direct comparison with a gasoline-powered vehicle, a natural gas-powered vehicle emits 60 to 95 percent fewer pollutants and soot particles, depending on the model. In addition, Catch a Car decided to run the VW eco-move up! on biogas and thus 100 percent CO2-neutral operation. As a further advantage, natural gas enables quiet operation. This has a positive effect on noise emissions in the inner city. The driving experience in the VW eco-move up! is comparable to any other car with a gasoline or diesel engine.
Bernhard Soltermann, COO and Managing Director of AMAG Import: "There is every indication that car sharing will develop strongly in the coming years. Catch a Car offers an opportunity to further expand our commitment in the mobility sector. Through our involvement with Mobility as one of the fleet suppliers and as a shareholder in Catch a Car and sharoo, we are now at the forefront of all three forms of car sharing." Investors in Catch a Car AG include Mobility, AMAG and Allianz Suisse, EnergieSchweiz and SBB.
