The implementation of this consistent electrification strategy is already bearing fruit: in the first half of 2016, Volvo sold the most plug-in hybrid vehicles of all manufacturers in Switzerland. Between January 1 and June 30, 2016, Volvo Switzerland sold 240 XC90 Twin Engine and

44 V60 Twin Engine models delivered to customers. Behind the Volvo XC90 Plug-in Hybrid, the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV (153 units) and the Audi A3 PHEV (118 units) take second and third place. In spring 2017, Volvo Switzerland will also offer the new premium models S90 (saloon) and V90 (estate), which will be available from October 2016, as plug-in hybrids. In addition, Volvo has also announced two purely electric cars that will be launched on the market from 2019.
