The Swiss importer's result is in line with the brand's global performance, which in 2017 saw the fourth consecutive record sales with 571,577 vehicles sold worldwide. The Volvo XC60, which was the brand's bestseller in 2017 and sold over 2,800 units in Switzerland, once again played a key role in this success. These sales are attributable to the first and second XC60 model generations, which have been available since July. The V40/V40 CC compact car and the XC90 SUV also enjoyed particular popularity in Switzerland. Swedish-style success.

Natalie Robyn, Managing Director at Volvo Car Switzerland AG: "Last year, we were particularly pleased that our new XC60 seamlessly continued the success of its predecessor as a Swiss bestseller. Furthermore, we were also able to present the new XC40 compact SUV for the first time last year. This model will be available at Swiss garages from February. We expect these two models, as the centerpieces of our renewed range, to reach their full potential in 2018."
