The President of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, and other high-ranking political representatives attended the event.
Great interest
The event took place at the Fuso production plant in Tramagal, Portugal. All eCanter for the European and American markets are built there in line with the conventional Fuso Canter truck. The Portuguese government has supported the development of the eCanter since the initial phase in 2010.
Already in customer testing
With the all-electric light truck, Fuso aims to address the public's need for zero-emission and low-noise inner-city distribution transport. It is intended to help solve noise and pollution problems in cities around the world. Depending on its body and use, the eCanter has a range of up to 100 km and a payload of two to three tons. The vehicle's electric powertrain includes six high-voltage lithium-ion batteries, each rated at 420 V and 13.8 kWh. The global market launch will take place in New York in September.
