e-Golf 2
Four teams will start with a VW e-Golf in the WAVE Trophy, which begins tomorrow. Two of them already took part with the predecessor model at the last event.

112 e-mobile teams are humming along on the "Grand Tour of Switzerland" road trip. Volkswagen is joining in with four new e-Golf. The WAVE Trophy starts with a public event on June 9 at 2:30 p.m. at the Stadthausanlage (Bürkliplatz) in Zurich and ends on June 17 from 4 p.m., again in Zurich, at Helvetiaplatz.

A week through Switzerland
During one week, 112 e-mobile teams will tour Switzerland with e-bikes, e-motorcycles and e-cars. One e-Golf will be driven by team "FrankundFrank" and a second will be driven by employees and guests of Volkswagen Switzerland. The "FrankundFrank" team is already participating for the fourth time, while the "Volkswagen" team is taking part in the Trophy for the second time. In 2014, the two teams won in the main category "Popular WAVE" and "Range Award" for best efficiency and range with the predecessor model of the e-Golf. Two more e-Golf will be at the start with the teams from Switzerland Tourism and Alpiq.

Stress in the e-Golf
On the last leg from Zug to Zurich, a special guest sits at the wheel of the new e-Golf: Swiss musician Stress. The rapper has been committed to sustainable mobility for several years. Stress is convinced of the all-electric VW model: "The new e-Golf has been further improved and now achieves up to 300 kilometers of range on one battery charge. I'm looking forward to driving the finishing leg of the WAVE Trophy with it."

Test drives
The new e-Golf achieves up to twice the range and boasts even more power than its predecessor. The output of the e-motor has been increased by 20 hp to 136 hp. The new e-Golf is also available for test drives at several Trophy locations and stops.
