After setting the record at Pikes Peak, Romain Dumas makes motorsport history at the Festival of Speed in Goodwood, England.

The 500 kW (680 hp) Wolfsburg car already set a record on its 2018 debut at the legendary hillclimb race on Pikes Peak in the USA. He beat the previous best time on the 20-kilometer mountain track by 16 seconds.

ID.R
The Volkswagen ID.R stands for the uncompromising performance potential of forward-looking electromobility. It has proven this many times over.

Average speed of 205 km/h
A year later, Romain Dumas then drove the fastest lap by an electric car on the Nordschleife of the Nürburgring (top left). With an average speed of 205 km/h, he took over 40 seconds off the previous record holder.

Added to this are four further track records in England at the Goodwood Festival of Speed (top right), in China (bottom left) and most recently at Bilster Berg.

The ID.R accelerates to 100 km/h in under two seconds and reaches a top speed of 270 km/h. The last pit stop is at the Autostadt in Wolfsburg.
