With its newly developed EU 6 engines combined with a fundamentally new exterior design, the new Crafter achieves the lowest consumption and emission levels in its vehicle class. Engines designed for both short-haul and long-haul operation result in the avoidance of downtime. The 2.0l TDI "EA 288Nutz" engine developed specifically for the Crafter is available in four different power ratings: 102 hp, 122 hp, 140 hp or as a BiTurbo TDI 177 hp are available.
Inside and outside the design was revised
The new Crafter sets new standards in terms of driving assistance systems in the large van segment: The aim here is to optimize occupant protection through active and passive safety concepts in all load conditions. Thanks to the electromechanical steering system, which is a first in its class, the new Crafter offers an exceptionally large number of active driver assistance systems. It has also been given a completely new design concept. To this end, a fundamentally new commercial vehicle architecture has been conceived - both on the exterior and in the interior.
