Volkswagen: Everyday test with e-Golf in Engadine
The Engadine is going mobile: Until February 14, 2016, interested people can borrow an e-Golf in Scuol or Ftan and charge it for free. The pilot test is part of the mia Engiadina project and is supported by Energie 360°, Volkswagen and Sharoo.com. One e-Golf each is available for rent at the Scuol train station and at the High Alpine Institute in Ftan. During a pilot project, anyone can rent the vehicles for two francs per hour or eight francs per day. The two e-Golf are booked directly in the free Sharoo app, which is also required to lock and unlock the vehicles.
Fully comprehensive insurance for the duration of use is included and is taken out automatically. Charging of the e-Golf is free of charge during the rental period. Two temporary charging stations were specially installed for the project in Scuol and Ftan, which are integrated into the Europe-wide swisscharge.ch charging station network.
