Environment: Audi has CO2 emissions under control
FLEET TARGET ACHIEVED Based on the preliminary figures, Audi more than met its CO2 fleet targets in 2020. The fleet value is calculated on the basis of around 585,000 newly registered vehicles in 28 European countries plus Norway and Iceland. At Audi, the increased deliveries of the all-electric e-tron and the plug-in hybrids of the four rings had a particularly positive impact on the fleet value.
Audi plans to offer more than 30 electrified models by 2025, around 25 of which will be purely electric. With a calculated 101.5 g/km, Audi was well below the statutory target of 105.6 g/km in 2020.
The CO2 fleet value is an important indicator
Hildegard Wortmann, responsible for sales and marketing at Audi AG: "We see the CO2 fleet value as an important indicator. That's why we will push ahead with our electrification offensive with vigor."
The Ingolstadt-based company will soon unveil the Audi e-tron GT, the brand's most powerful electric car (AutoSprintCH reported). This will be followed later by the Q4 e-tron, the first model based on the high-volume MEB modular system.
