50 years ago, the Toyota 2000 GT went into series production with high-quality technology.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., rare and exciting vehicles will be on display in a collection on the premises of the German headquarters (Toyota-Allee 2, 50858 Cologne). For lovers of Japanese automotive culture, the brand presents important highlights from the program comprising more than 80 model series.
Spectacular and curious models
These include spectacular and curious right-hand drive models that are often only known to insiders. These include clever body concepts with a large amount of space in a very small footprint, luxurious sedans, powerful sports cars, gullwing models and various off-roaders. Not to be forgotten are the pioneering achievements in alternative drive systems, on-board electronics and pioneering safety equipment.
Rare vehicles in original condition
Not only Japan's first super sports car, the Toyota 2000 GT, can be experienced up close, but also another eye-catcher in its original condition: the garish green Toyota Sera coupe. Among the rare vehicles a Toyota Starlet Glanza V, a Sprinter Trueno AE111 and a Land Cruiser HJ61 with high roof.
The tuning scene is also an integral part of the Collection, and anyone who wants to learn even more about the ramified Toyota model history should take part in a guided tour of the Toyota Collection. During these tours, experts go into detail about models from six decades.
