Toyota: Switzerland's clear hybrid champion

According to Auto Schweiz, 5,752 hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) were sold in the first seven months of the current year. Two thirds of these come from Toyota and Lexus. With 3787 registered hybrid vehicles, the Japanese group has also maintained its dominant position in Switzerland. Since the launch of the first Prius generation in 2000, over 53,000 Toyota and Lexus hybrid vehicles have been sold in Switzerland.
New models with innovative drive systems
With the new generation of the Toyota Auris, the manufacturer is further expanding its hybrid range. In the new generation, which will be launched in the first quarter of 2019, Toyota is offering two hybrid systems with different outputs. Other models, such as the Toyota Camry, will also be launched with the innovative drive system. However, Toyota is not only focusing on the hybrid system. With the hydrogen drive, which is offered in the Mirai, Toyota is offering a drive system with zero emissions and a refueling time of three to five minutes.
