Everything is new in 2023 - at least as far as our annual readers' poll is concerned, which we have been running for a quarter of a century now. That's because we've fundamentally overhauled the format, with this 25th edition marking the start of a new era. The most important point, namely that there are fantastic prizes to be won, has of course not been changed.
Great prices
1st price: Suzuki GSX-8S
The main prize is a brand-new Suzuki GSX-8S worth 9995 Swiss francs! The dewy upper mid-range naked bike definitely has what it takes to become a bestseller.
2nd prize: Schuberth C5

TÖFF-AWARDS: New name, new concept
Let's start with the name: Töff des Jahres" (Bike of the Year) has become the "TÖFF-AWARDS", because we are no longer "only" awarding prizes for the most popular bikes in Switzerland in various - newly clustered - categories, but also for the most popular Swiss motor sportsmen and women, as well as the most popular brands from the tire, clothing, helmet and lubricant sectors.
New categories, new weighting
To date, around 200 motorcycles and scooters in 10 categories have competed for the vote, whereby we cultivated the claim to completeness. Thus, for years there were motorcycles in the catalog that had not received one vote. And because we want to determine the most popular motorcycles, we have reoriented ourselves to the sales figures. In each category, only those bikes are listed that performed well on the market in the previous year. As well as, of course, completely new models for the respective season. Each manufacturer may only be listed a maximum of four times in a category. Nevertheless, when nominating the participating models, we made sure that there is a certain mix of brands in each category.
Furthermore, we have limited the number of motorcycles per category to a maximum of 15 - for the sake of a better overview. One exception is the category "Naked bikes up to 140 hp" due to the high number of market-relevant models. In addition to the naked bikes, we have also subdivided the category of touring enduros (up to and over 1000 cc). In the case of scooters, we now only include vehicles from 270 cc, and the category "Electric from category A2" is brand new.
Conditions of participation of the TÖFF-AWARDS
All persons of legal age and resident in Switzerland are eligible to participate. Everyone who completes the online form correctly and in full will be entered into the draw and can win the main prize as well as the other prizes, as the chance of winning is not dependent on the election results.
