AND IT'S GOING ON It's been announced for a long time, but now it's in the showroom at Pelikanstrasse 10 in Zürich: Tesla's Model Y. Tesla Model Y
The Model Y starts at 62,000 francs for the Long Range version. The performance version is available from 71,000 francs.

At 4.75 meters in length, the Model Y offers an astonishing amount of space for passengers. In the front, the tidiness of the instrument panel alone creates a considerable feeling of space, and large passengers can travel comfortably in the rear.

Clean cockpit like its siblings
The trunk also offers plenty of space. More than 2158 liters of cargo space (front and rear) are quite impressive, and the rear seats can be folded down. The storage spaces under the actual trunk floor (for charging cables and more) are also practical, and there is also a luggage compartment at the front that can hold quite a bit.

The space-saving technology for the electric drive allowed plenty of room to be left for the passengers and their luggage. The clean cockpit with the centrally positioned 15-inch touchscreen offers few surprises - this is familiar from the siblings.

Long Range model with two electric motors
According to the factory, 505 kilometers of range, ideally 270 kilometers of range recharge in 15 minutes, space for up to seven passengers - the Y clearly has what it takes to top the Model 3.

The first model available is the Long Range model, which is powered by two electric motors that distribute their power to the front and rear wheels via digital control. This ensures that acceleration from zero to 100 km/h is completed in just five seconds despite a weight of around two tons.

The performance variant with a range of 480 kilometers follows a little later. It sprints to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of 241 km/h.
