Likewise, many vehicles are decorated with various fan items such as flags, pennants or mirror flags. However, car decoration is not without its pitfalls. Certain points must be observed to ensure the safety of all road users.
Flags only on the rear side windows
Car flags should only be attached to the rear side windows. In addition, freeway journeys should be avoided with the flags fitted, as they could come loose at high speed and endanger following traffic. The flags must not obstruct the driver's field of vision.
Rear window of the car must always remain clear
This also applies to lettering and other stickers. These can be affixed anywhere on the vehicle, except for the lighting and signaling systems, the windshield and the front side windows. If the vehicle has only one outside mirror, the rear window must also remain clear. Pennants and mascots on the inside rearview mirror have no place here either. They also obstruct the driver's field of vision and reduce the driver's sensitivity to pedestrians and cyclists by moving around while driving.
Protection from great heat with a sun mat
A sunshade mat is quickly installed and does its job as protection from an overly heated vehicle. Of course, it must be removed before each trip. Mirror flags are considered a novelty. They are simply slipped over the exterior mirror and tightened. However, the effective mirror surface must not be affected.
