The increasing complexity of vehicles and traffic situations is becoming a challenge.

As a neutral association, Swissdrive wants to offer a new platform under the motto "Road safety through education and training", because the increasing complexity of vehicles and traffic situations is becoming more and more of a challenge in terms of road safety.

Experienced experts for specialized areas
In the future, it will be crucial that experts from different specialist areas interact with each other in a network. The association is therefore seeking cooperation with road safety experts themselves and with specialized associations.

The association is chaired by Pierre-André Tombez, the former president of the Swiss Association of Driving Instructors. The board includes physicist Bettina Zahnd, who led the crash tests in Wildhaus and Dübendorf, as well as Toni Kalberer, Nicolas Heini, Daniel Menzi, Philipp Abt and Martin Schatzmann.

Competence center for road safety
As a competence center, Swissdrive will coordinate the core issues of road safety and mobility on Swiss roads. With a unified voice, the association will be the driving force in traffic matters, prevention issues and driver training. It will bundle all the forces of the road safety industry in the interests of safe Swiss roads.

Special training for older participants
The Seniordrive association, which specializes in the targeted training of driving instructors and coaches, is already part of the Swissdrive platform. These are responsible for the assessment and training of older road users throughout Switzerland.

At the other end of the age spectrum is Firstcar, the national contact point for novice drivers. Also on board is CTM Alder AG, which is known for its software solutions, apps and teaching materials for theoretical and practical driver training. Finally, Swissdrive's cause is also supported by Pirelli Switzerland.
