The starting signal for the Subaru success story was given in the fall of 1978, when an exclusive group of future Subaru representatives test-drove the brand's vehicles for the first time at what was then the Veltheim Road Safety Center.
Global market leader in the segment
In February 1979, Olympic skiing champion and world champion Bernhard Russi announced the first Subaru 4×4 for Switzerland in TV commercials and newspaper ads. Subaru popularized all-wheel drive for passenger cars and is the global market leader in this segment. When it comes to all-wheel drive passenger cars, Subaru is also among the leaders in Switzerland. According to auto-schweiz, there are over 120,000 Subaru vehicles on Swiss roads today.
All models with permanent all-wheel drive
While in the past it was mainly the sporty models such as Impreza 4×4 or WRX STI 4×4 that ensured good sales results, today it is mainly the SUV models Subaru XV 4×4, Forester 4×4 and Outback 4×4 that are highly popular with Mr. and Mrs. Swiss.
They all offer permanent symmetrical 4×4 drive, off-road capability and optimum safety thanks to the EyeSight assistance system.
Entry into the Subaru 4×4 world starts from 23 580 francs with the Impreza 1.6i 4×4 Swiss (price: 4×4 winter bonus already deducted).
