The new model is available as a sedan or station wagon. Its top speed is limited to 250 km/h, and the compact sports car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds (station wagon version: 6.7 seconds - factory data).
New light unit, new front optics
Both the vertically arranged louvers of the radiator grille and the radiator grille frame are designed to look sporty and are therefore finished in glossy black. The headlights in the "crystalline look" feature full LED technology and the AFS adaptive lighting system as standard. The fog lamps, taillights and license plate lighting also feature LED technology and a crystal look.
Still compact, but spacious inside
The sedan and station wagon are 4689 millimeters long. The vehicle width is 1814 millimeters, the vehicle height 1448 millimeters for the sedan and 1452 millimeters for the station wagon. The width of the load area of 1010 millimeters for the sedan and station wagon also allows bulky objects to be transported. The luggage compartment capacity of the sedan is 590 liters (1580 liters with the rear seat folded down). In the station wagon it is as much as 610 liters (1740 liters with the rear seat folded down).
Drive and chassis
The four-cylinder TSI's maximum torque of 370 Nm is available from 1600 to 4300 rpm. There is a choice of a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The ESC stability program is standard equipment, as is the electronically controlled VAQ front axle cross-lock for the differential of the drive wheels. The new Octavia RS 245 is available immediately from Swiss Skoda partners from CHF 42,450 (sedan, six-speed manual transmission). In addition, the so-called "Clever Bonus" of CHF 2000.- can be deducted from the list price.
