Proud 70 years
The birth of the Bulli, and with it the entire T series, dates back some 70 years. In honor of this classic, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has designed the special model that made its debut at the last Geneva Motor Show. It combines the charm of classic retro styling with today's technology and quality. Marcel Schaffner, Brand Manager Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Switzerland, is delighted with the special model: "For 70 years, the Bulli has been conquering hearts at top speed. Like hardly any other vehicle, both the Bulli in the past and the Multivan today stand for freedom, experience and driving pleasure."
Mix of styles
The special model is based on the Multivan Family or Comfortline and has been put together with a mix of various elements from the Highline and the California. To match the summer, the special model also comes in an optional two-tone paint finish. In addition to other special equipment, the passenger compartment offers privacy glazing that protects against strong sunlight. The special model has been at Swiss dealers since July 2017, and the starting price for the anniversary model is 44,760 Swiss francs.
Festival in Wolfsburg
The 70th anniversary is celebrated with the first Bulli meeting in Wolfsburg. The four-day festival will take place at Allerpark in Wolfsburg. The fan community can expect hundreds of Bullis from all model generations, live music, food corner, games and sports program, vehicle awards in various categories and lectures. On the last day of the festival, the 70s will be celebrated with a Bulli parade: On Sunday, 350 registered vehicles will set off from Wolfsburg to Hanover to the current production site.
