During the Advent and Christmas period, drivers who are unfit to drive can be driven home safely in their own car by Nez Rouge campaign volunteers.

127 smart fortwo and forfour cars will be available to Nez Rouge volunteers throughout Switzerland during the Advent period until New Year. With this commitment, smart is working to improve road safety.

Campaign for safety
During the Advent and holiday season, Nez Rouge drives people who are unfit to drive home in their own car. Last year, almost 9500 volunteers worked on a voluntary basis and accompanied more than 30,000 people. This year, smart is supporting the campaign with 127 vehicles that will be deployed throughout Switzerland.

Extensive fleet
The Citycar takes the volunteers to the next customer in comfort. The maneuverable small car is particularly suitable for urban areas. The physical condition of the driver is one of the most common causes of traffic accidents in Switzerland. smart is very concerned about road safety and responsible driving behavior: "Through our commitment, we want to participate in the valuable work of Nez Rouge. In doing so, we can also play our part in improving safety on the roads at Christmas," says Marc Langenbrinck, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Schweiz AG.

Personal responsibility required
The aim of the Nez Rouge prevention campaign is to ensure that drivers who are unfit to drive no longer drive themselves. Drivers who are unfit to drive should take a cab if necessary or designate a driver for the evening in advance. During the festive season, however, it is now also possible to call Nez Rouge and be chauffeured in your own car.
