The Karoq rolled off the production line for the first time a few days ago at the Czech plant in Kvasiny. The new compact SUV combines the brand's typical design with exceptional space, new driver assistance systems and efficient engines.
Design and technology
According to the manufacturer, its design is characterized by crystalline elements and reflects the new SUV design language of the Czech brand in the VW Group. Highlights include up to 1630 liters of trunk space, full LED headlights and a freely programmable digital instrument panel. There is a choice of four engine variants) with a power range from 85 kW/115 hp to 140 kW/190 hp.
Large employer in the region
With currently around 8000 employees, the plant is the largest industrial employer in the Hradec Králové region. In recent years, the production facilities have been extensively expanded and modernized. Over the next few years, production capacity will gradually increase to up to 295,000 vehicles per year. In addition to the new Karoq, the Superb, Superb Combi and Kodiaq models are currently rolling off the production line in Kvasiny.
Available for order now
The Karoq can be ordered in Switzerland with immediate effect and will initially be available in the Ambition and Style equipment lines. The entry-level Active version will follow at a later date. The Karoq Ambition with the basic gasoline engine (115 hp) costs from CHF 25,590.
