Seat: Electric scooter in the book of records
2500 KILOMETERS IN TWO DAYS Seat enters the Guinness Book of Records with the Mo 125 Performance. Two world records for the all-electric scooter demonstrate the quality, endurance and performance of this model.
The Seat Mo is collecting records. At the Zuera International Circuit in Zaragoza, Spain, the team around Seat's all-electric scooter took on its biggest challenge yet. Within 48 hours, a single Mo 125 Performance broke two Guinness World Records.
The team had previously spent more than a year developing, testing and preparing the e-scooter for the record attempt. Then the urban motorcycle entered the endurance test to show how many kilometers it can cover within 48 hours.
Two tests for the Guinness entries
On the race track, the Mo 125 Performance faced two tests at once: 24 hours of relay driving and 24 hours with only one pilot. The result: 2588 kilometers in two days and two entries in the Guinness Book of Records.
Led by Quim Martínez, Seat Mo Quality Manager, and Dani García, Micromobility Technical Manager, the team wanted to prove the quality of the new urban scooter. For the record tests, the model was completely camouflaged to keep the appearance of the new Mo 125 Performance a secret until its presentation at the EICMA in Milan on November 8.
Double the previous world record
The Seat Mo 125 Performance broke the previous record in the 24-hour relay test. Five experienced long-distance drivers covered around 1430 kilometers - more than double the previous world record. After the relay, journalist Valerio Boni tackled the second challenge alone. It was not the first 24-hour world record for the Italian, but it was the first with an all-electric vehicle. During his solo drive, he covered around 1158 kilometers.
Managing Director Lucas Casasnovas: "The new Guinness World Record holder is even more powerful, dynamic and attractive to urban drivers than its predecessor."
Unfortunately, the model is not yet available in Switzerland for the time being.
