Salon Paris: Jeep Grand Cherokee "Trailhawk

For the 2017 model year of the Grand Cherokee, Jeep is presenting the new "Trailhawk" version of its flagship at the Paris Motor Show (visitor days October 1 to 16, 2016), which gives the vehicle additional off-road expertise and gives the model range, which already includes Trailhawk versions of the Cherokee and Renegade, a more uniform look. Jeep Grand Cherokee "Trailhawk": In addition to the modifications to the design of the front apron and the seven-slot radiator grille typical of the brand, the model features Kevlar-reinforced Goodyear 18-inch off-road tires.

Jeep introduced the term "Trailhawk" in 2012 with a Grand Cherokee concept study. The idea behind it: To convey a particularly robust appearance with additional off-road and four-wheel drive functions. Now a "Trailhawk" version completes the model range of the Grand Cherokee - adding a sixth version to the series alongside the Laredo, Limited, Overland, Summit and SRT. Among other things, the optimized "Selec-Speed Control", which can be operated via shift paddles on the steering wheel, including "Hill Ascent Control" is standard. The vehicle on display in Paris with "Granite Crystal" paintwork, black leather and velour seats is powered by a 250 hp 3.0 CRD turbodiesel combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission with off-road gear reduction. The first vehicles will be on display at Swiss dealerships in December. Prices have not yet been set.
