Sandro Mesquita has worked in national and international companies for over 15 years.

The new man at the helm of the event, which is one of the most sought-after events in the industry in Switzerland and internationally, has experience in marketing and communications. Sandro Mesquita holds a Federal Diploma in Marketing and an Executive Master of Sciences in Communication Management from the University of Lugano. He completed this academic training with a management certificate obtained at UCLA.

Marketing and Business Development
Sandro Mesquita spent more than 15 years working in marketing and business development in national and international companies in the telecommunications and energy sectors. In 2013, he joined one of the largest international communications groups, where he first managed the branch of a branding consulting agency in Geneva and then became managing director of the group's creative communications department in Lausanne.

GIMS 2021 from March 4 to 14
In November 2019, Olivier Rihs announced that he would be leaving GIMS as of March 31, 2020. This happened under exceptional circumstances.

Due to an order of the Federal Council because of the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the 90th edition, which he had initiated, had to be canceled shortly before its opening on February 28.

The next GIMS will be held from March 4-14, 2021.
