Handover: Bernadette Langenick handed over the helm of Swiss Automotive Aftermarket (SAA) to Erhard Luginbühl at the autumn meeting.

Luginbühl, a well-known entrepreneur from the canton of Aargau, has a task ahead of him: He must lead the SAA-Expo, the annual trade exhibition in Hall 7 at the Geneva Motor Show, into a successful future.

Exchange of expertise
Normally, the representatives of the 80 SAA members meet at their autumn meeting to exchange ideas in one of the six specialist groups. But this time, most attention was focused on the upcoming change in the presidency. After almost nine years, seven of them as president and before that one and a half years on the SAA board, Bernadette Langenick handed over the presidency.

Succession regulated
Langenick's successor will be Erhard Luginbühl. He is an entrepreneur and owner of the family business Luginbühl Fahrzeugtechnik in Möriken, Aargau, and has been active on the SAA Board since 2009, most recently as head of the Commercial Vehicles Division. He will take up the post with immediate effect, with responsibility for the SAA Expo in Geneva next March.

SAA-Expo 2018
The SAA Expo is an important issue not only for the association itself, but for the entire supplier industry. The current status is that 14 of the 80 SAA members as well as five non-SAA members have chosen the shorter option - a total of 19 companies on an area of 3151 square meters.
