Rinspeed: Second dive at Photo Basel
NFT-HIPE WITH SQUBA Rinspeed, known for years for extraordinary automotive creations, is showing a unique 3-D NFT at Photo Basel. The diving concept car Squba thus enters the trendy metaverse for the first time.

At Photo Basel, a parallel event to the renowned art fair Art Basel, the Zurich-based mobility think tank Rinspeed unveils a 3-D NFT (Non Fungible Token). Such "indivisible uniques," currently still a somewhat fuzzy hipe in the world of art, have also taken a fancy to the founder and CEO of Rinspeed.
Frank M.Rinderknecht: "Future technologies have always shaped our DNA. They have been an integral part of our creative work since the beginning. The Metaverse and NFT are now opening up completely new and exciting worlds for us. And it is in these visionary worlds that we would like to anchor ourselves."
3D installation as part of the new world
As a prelude, Rinderknecht will present a unique animated 3-D installation at Photo Basel between June 14 and 19. It is intended to connect the analog and digital worlds in an innovative way.
The Squba seems to literally dive toward the viewer, offering an experience in the third dimension. Via an integrated QR code, viewers can get the spectacular vehicle directly on their smart device via augmented reality without downloading an app.
Purchase option for 26 unique vehicles
With this NFT action, Rinspeed dives into a new metaverse dimension. Why not move under water in one of the parallel universes? The 3.D-NFT will offer many additional features. James Bond's ingenious tinkerer Q probably would not have imagined this even in his wildest dreams.
Rinspeed's one-of-a-kind NFT, along with an option to purchase the 26 unique vehicles in the Rinspeed Collection, can be purchased this summer through a well-known auction platform.
