The accompanying video on Renault's plans for the future symbolically shows how the brand wants to change.

In the next two years, the main focus will be on improving finances and the savings target of three billion is to be achieved by 2025. In the years after that, the focus will be on technology, energy and mobility.

Luca De Meo: "We will evolve from a car manufacturer that works with technology to a tech company that works with cars. By 2030, we will generate at least 20 percent of our turnover with services. Our focus is currently solely on regaining our competitiveness. This includes simplifying the organization so that we will only need just under three years to develop new models in the future."

Renaulution
Renault automobiles will learn more every day in the future and thus gain in intelligence and value over time.

Fuel cell technology an important pillar
The electrification of the model range plays an important role in the future plans. Renault is planning to use fuel cell technology in its light commercial vehicles and believes it can achieve a market share of 30 percent in this segment. However, the appropriate infrastructure must first be created - there are currently just under 40 hydrogen filling stations in France.

At least 24 new models coming by 2025
By 2025, the Group's four divisions (Renault, Dacia/Lada, Alpine and Mobilize) will launch 24 new models, at least ten of which will be fully electric vehicles.

With this "Nouvelle Vague", i.e. a new wave, Renault wants to commit itself to the "greenest drive mix" among European manufacturers. The Renault brand alone will contribute to this with seven fully electric models.

Close cooperation between Dacia and Lada
At the presentation of the new strategy, De Meo showed the prototype of a modern Renault 5, which is planned as a fully electric city car and is reminiscent of the iconic small car of the 1970s. You can see more details in the gallery.

In future, Dacia will work more closely with Lada in Russia and share the platform and technology. The prototype of the Dacia Bigster Concept represents the brand's entry into the C-segment. The 4.60 meter long SUV is based on the CMF-B platform, which will also be used by Lada in the future.

All-electric successor to the A 110 in planning
The sports division - including Formula 1 - will be brought together under the umbrella of the new Alpine business unit. Together with Lotus, a fully electric successor to the A 110 is to be developed, and Luca De Meo is also planning a compact sports model for amateur motorsport drivers as a replacement for the Mégane RS,

Car sharing model for the city with two seats
Finally, the new "Mobilize" unit will bundle the business areas of data, mobility and energy services, which are expected to generate around 20 percent of Group sales by 2030. Among other things, Renault presented the prototype of a car-sharing vehicle for the city with two seats and an exchangeable battery.
