In particular, the space available in the rear leaves much to be desired in many vehicles. All test vehicles can transport at least two children in accordance with regulations and without restrictions. The highest score of five stars was achieved by the seven-seater Ford S-Max, VW Touran and VW T6 Multivan. In these three, three child seats can easily be placed next to each other in the second row. Many models have room for improvement in terms of family friendliness. This is shown by the sometimes restrictive or even contradictory operating instructions. In addition, the accessibility of the Isofix and Top Tether anchorages is unsatisfactory in various cars, and the seat belts are too short. Please see the results in detail The table.
