Reducing CO2 emissions has also become a big issue for sports car manufacturers. With "Porsche Impact," Porsche customers can now determine the CO2 value from their annual mileage and the amount of the financial contribution with which they can support a climate project and thus neutralize the emissions.
Certified projects around the world
The eligible internationally certified projects focus on water and solar energy as well as forest and biodiversity conservation. They are located in the USA, Mexico, Vietnam and Zimbabwe. Further projects in Europe and China will follow.
Switzerland is still missing from the action
For the time being, customers in Germany, the UK and Poland can use "Porsche Impact". In the coming months, these compensation options will be extended to other markets. When the time comes in Switzerland will depend on experience during the introductory phase. Porsche itself is also taking advantage of the offer. Since the end of November 2018, the CO2 emissions of the entire fleet - consisting of almost 6100 cars - have been neutralized. This also includes Porsche's motorsport vehicles. Price example: For a current Cayenne with an annual mileage of 15,000 kilometers, the compensation amounts to just under 70 francs per year.
