Porsche: Experience e-fuels at the Experience Center
HOCKENHEIMRING With immediate effect, the fleet of sports cars at the Porsche Experience Center Hockenheimring is running on a fuel blend based on food waste products. The e-fuel pilot project uses 1600 liters.
The liquid used, made from food waste products, is turned into a 98-octane fuel by admixture. This gasoline thus meets the required properties in terms of anti-knock properties and combustion behavior.
Porsche last presented the fuel in the 718 Cayman GT4 RS at this year's GP Ice Race in Zell am See (AutoSprintCH reported).
Tests in a dynamic driving environment
Bastian Schramm, Head of Marketing at Porsche Germany: "Following the successful use in motorsport, we want to demonstrate the performance of the biofuel blend in a dynamic driving environment with the pilot project at the Porsche Experience Center. The use of renewable fuels in daily operations can also be a contribution to reducing the fleet's CO2 emissions."
Handling, driving dynamics and offroad
Since opening in October 2019, the Porsche Experience Center Hockenheimring has been thrilling customers and fans of the brand with goosebump moments. The center is located around 100 kilometers from the headquarters in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen and offers a customer experience with a vehicle exhibition, handling track, driving dynamics areas and off-road course.
For the dynamic driving experiences alongside experienced instructors, visitors can use their own Porsche or draw on the Experience Center's extensive fleet of sports cars.
Meeting of lovers of the brand
In addition to the range of driving programs and catering, the location in the heart of the Hockenheimring is once again inviting visitors this year to the Frühschicht, a monthly vehicle gathering of Porsche enthusiasts.
