Polestar: Swedes are now going up 🎥
FUTURE Polestar's electric performance SUV is simply called 3, combining Scandinavian minimalism and purism with the key characteristics of a sport utility vehicle for the electric age.
The Polestar 3 presents itself with a new aerodynamic profile in which particular emphasis was placed on retaining the typical characteristics of an SUV. This was achieved through subtle but effective aerodynamic optimization - for example with an aero wing at the front and aero blades at the rear.
The interior materials of the Polestar 3 were selected for their sustainability features while providing a premium aesthetic and feel. The infotainment system is based on the next-generation Snapdragon cockpit platform. As the central component, this platform is used to deliver an immersive experience throughout the vehicle with its high computing capability for high-resolution displays, premium-quality surround sound and seamless connectivity.
Five radar modules and five external cameras
Collaborations with several technology partners provide the Polestar 3 with a wide range of assistance systems. As standard, the car has five radar modules, five external cameras and twelve ultrasonic sensors that support numerous safety functions. The smart zone under the front aero wing becomes the hallmark of the Polestar design.
Rear-mounted dual motor all-wheel configuration
For launch, the Polestar 3 is available in a rear-mounted dual-motor all-wheel-drive configuration. The standard vehicle has an output of 360 kW and delivers a maximum torque of 840 Nm. With the optional Performance Package there is even 910 Nm and 380 kW. One-pedal drive is included, as is an electric torque vectoring dual-clutch function on the rear axle.
To save energy, a decoupling function is available for the rear electric motor. The 111 kWh battery pack enables ranges of up to 610 kilometers.
Distinctive, Scandinavian design style
Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar: "The Polestar 3 is a high-performance electric SUV that appeals to all the senses with a distinctive, Scandinavian design and excellent driving dynamics. With the start of Polestar manufacturing in the United States, we are now increasing our production presence."
