In addition to the 300 kW engine (408 hp), there are now variants with front-wheel drive and 170 kW (231 hp) or 165 kW (224 hp).

The entry-level price makes the Polestar 2 attractive to a larger target group - and the transition to more sustainable mobility is further accelerated.

Appearance, premium quality and driving pleasure
Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar: "2021 is the year in which Polestar 2 will really take off. We entered the market with a strong offering and have set standards with it. Now we are expanding our portfolio with further versions. But one thing remains the same: All variants have the unique appearance, premium quality and driving pleasure in common."

Red Dot "Best of the Best" for product design
The Polestar 2, which was launched on the market in the second half of 2020, has received high praise from customers and the media alike. It has won a number of awards worldwide, most recently the Red Dot "Best of the Best" award in the product design category.

Textile upholstery made from vegan WeaveTech
All versions of the Polestar 2 are designed to be equally attractive and evoke emotions. Special characteristic features such as the 19-inch wheels, the LED light design at the front and rear and the frameless mirrors typical of Polestar have been retained.

Just like the vegan WeaveTech seats introduced in 2020, the new standard embossed textile upholstery is also a vegan material and available in two colors. Other standard features include the high-performance audio system with eight loudspeakers, front and rear parking sensors and a reversing camera.

Integration of the Digital Key in the Polestar app
Connectivity and digital integration continue to be the hallmarks of the Polestar 2. The infotainment system based on Android Automotive OS with its 11-inch center display and 12.3-inch driver display is included in all models.

The new Polestar Digital Key, also included as standard, is integrated into the new Polestar app, as are other vehicle function controls, as well as over-the-air updates, which enable Polestar to install regular software updates remotely.

The new Polestar App and the Polestar Digital Key will be available to all Polestar 2 owners via over-the-air updates from mid-April 2021.

Drive trains as required or desired
Three powertrains are now available. In addition to the already available 300 kW dual motor (408 hp) with a large 78 kWh battery, there are now also two variants with front-wheel drive - either with the large Long Range battery and a 170 kW motor (231 hp) or with a smaller 64 kWh battery (Standard Range) and a 165 kW motor (224 hp).

Equipment packages for individual needs
Optional equipment packages have been developed to further adapt the respective configuration to individual requirements, offering added value without complicating the ordering process with too many individual options.

The existing optional Performance package is still only for the Launch variant (Long Range Dual Engine) and it includes adjustable Öhlins dampers, Brembo brakes, forged 20-inch alloy wheels and the signature elements inside and out in a gold color. The Plus and Pilot packages, which were standard in the Launch version, are now available as options.

Orders exclusively via the Internet
The new variants are now available to order in Switzerland.

Customers can order exclusively online at polestar.com and see and test drive the new Polestar 2 variants in the Polestar Spaces from September 2021.
