Peugeot: The 3008 Hybrid cracks the million mark
SUCCESSFUL RUN Five years after its launch, Peugeot is celebrating the millionth 3008 model to roll off the line at its Sochaux plant. Workers gathered around the Peugeot 3008 Hybrid to celebrate.
Peugeot proudly reports the production of the millionth model in the 3008 series. The vehicle, which is manufactured in both Europe and China, impressed experts even before its market launch, as it received 76 awards worldwide, including the prestigious "Car of the Year" award in 2017.
In France, the Peugeot 3008 has been the leader in its segment since its launch. In Europe, it ranks second in the SUV segment this year.
80 percent are versions with automatic transmission
While 65 percent of sales of the 3008 are in Europe, the most important non-European markets are Turkey, Israel, Japan and Egypt. More than 80 percent of the vehicles are versions with automatic transmission.
In line with the "Power of Choice", the model is offered with both an internal combustion engine and plug-in hybrid drive and with front-wheel or all-wheel drive.
