The new Corsa will also come with electric drive in 2019
After just under a year as part of Groupe PSA (Opel, Vauxhall, Peugeot, Citroën and DS Automobiles), the brand is already back in the black. The competitiveness of the production plants in Europe has been improved. Together with the social partners, the management has reached agreements on the future for all European sites. For example, the new Corsa - including an electric version - will in future be produced exclusively at the Spanish plant in Zaragoza. The next generation of the Vivaro will roll off the production line in Luton, England, from 2019. The Grandland X SUV will be produced in Eisenach from the middle of next year - including a hybrid version that will follow by 2020.

Important role for the Rüsselsheim Engineering Center
The Engineering Center in Rüsselsheim plays an important role in the Group and contributes typical Opel strengths to the Group's development network. With the location of 15 competence centers for different technology fields as well as responsibility for the development of light commercial vehicles and the next gasoline engine generation, the Engineering Center assumes responsibility for the entire Groupe PSA.
