Uwe Hochgeschurtz takes over as chief executive at a time when the traditional Rüsselsheim brand is pushing ahead with electrification and international expansion at great speed.
The new man at the top succeeds Michael Lohscheller, who has decided to take up a challenge outside the Stellantis Group. Uwe Hochgeschurtz will join Stellantis' top executive team and report directly to CEO Carlos Tavares.
International experienced manager
Born in Cologne, he started his career in the automotive industry in 1990 at Ford before moving to Volkswagen in 2001 and Renault in 2004.
