Taking into account the marked decline in direct imports (minus 55 percent), the performance of the Swiss dealer network is even more impressive at plus 34 percent.
The increase in volume was primarily achieved by the new Micra. The model benefited above all from the market launch of the long-awaited automatic version.
Crossover icons as volume drivers
The two crossover icons Qashqai (up 39 percent) and X-Trail (up 20 percent) also performed very well. As expected, the 1.7 dCi 4×4 automatic was the volume driver for the Qashqai. Demand for the Nissan Leaf also remains strong. The all-electric saloon increased its number of registrations by a strong 22 percent.
Claudia Meyer, Managing Director Nissan Switzerland: "We now want to use this momentum for further performance in the financial year. With a well-filled order book, the next quarter also looks positive for Nissan."
