The GT-R Nismo reaches a new level in terms of powertrain, handling, brakes and aerodynamics.
The new model year GT-R is packed with racing technology - making it even more accessible to drivers of all levels. Vehicle control and predictability were at the forefront of development.
Many components are made of carbon fiber
As the most potent representative of the model series, the GT-R Nismo differs from its sister models not least in its lavish use of carbon fiber: it can be found in the front and rear bumpers, the front fenders, the hood, the roof, the sill covers, the trunk lid and the rear spoiler.
20-inch rims in nine-spoke design
Also lighter than before are the exclusive Rays forged aluminum 20-inch wheels, whose nine-spoke design contributes to rigidity. The new Dunlop tires increase the contact area by eleven percent with wider tread and fewer grooves. This improves cornering and steering feedback and reduces rolling.
Turbocharger design from the GT3 racing car
The heart remains the 3.8-liter bi-turbo V6 with 600 hp. Each individual engine is assembled by hand by a Takumi master craftsman. The turbocharger design from the GT3 race car has been given a modified turbine shape and fewer blades.
The six-speed dual-clutch transmission now has an improved R Mode for faster gear changes and optimized gear selection, particularly on corner exit. This improves the acceleration and braking feel both on the circuit and on the road.
