Mondial Paris: Ampera-e celebrates its world premiere
Things are happening in Rüsselheim and Paris. From October 1 to 16, the new Opel Ampera-e will celebrate its world premiere at the "Mondial de l'Automobile". The lightning-mobile is designed to combine the latest battery technology with locally emission-free operation. 204 hp and 360 Newton meters provide real driving pleasure. Fast starts at traffic lights or on freeway ramps are among the car's top disciplines. The compact car accelerates from zero to 50 km/h in 3.2 seconds, and the intermediate sprint when overtaking from 80 to 120 km/h takes 4.5 seconds according to preliminary data. This puts the Ampera-e in the same league as the sporty OPC models.
Ample space for five passengers and luggage
But driving pleasure with the Opel Ampera-e also means cruising at up to 150 km/h. At the same time, the Ampera-e offers a greater range than most other electric cars. Since the high-capacity batteries are mounted extra flat in a space-saving underfloor design, there is enough room for five passengers and a trunk with the capacity of a compact-class five-door car.
