Models: Skoda Octavia continues in first place
SURPRISE The Skoda Octavia again topped the model statistics in May - followed by three VW models. In the top ten is the Suzuki Swift, while Tesla's Model 3 dropped to 70th place. Nothing new from the East: More than 800 Skoda Octavias were newly registered in May as well. The Czech carmaker's model thus further extended its top position in the annual rankings.
Swiss family likes the Tiguan
The VW Tiguan was also very popular, coming in second place as in the previous month and thus also remaining in second place in the annual rankings. Unsurprisingly, the Golf and the T-Roc were also in demand from VW. In addition to the Audi Q3, the Suzuki Swift also had a strong month. They follow in 5th and 6th place, pushing the Swift into the top 20 in the annual rankings.
Only 70th place left for the electric pioneer
The crash of Tesla's Model 3 in the sales statistics came as little surprise. The American electric pioneer, which reported the best figure in March with 1094 registrations and still ranked 6th in April with 495 registrations, fell far behind: 125 new registrations mean just 70th place in the month of May.
However, this is still the best ranking among the purely electric models - just ahead of the Renault Zoe (118 registrations). For the Tesla model, this also means a drop in the annual ranking from 4th to 7th place.
