Mercedes-Benz: Up to 1000 kilometers range with H2
IT CONTINUES While Hyundai is already testing its X-Cient Fuel Cell in Switzerland, Mercedes-Benz has now received road approval for the hydrogen-based fuel cell truck GenH2 in Germany.

Daimler Trucks had begun testing the enhanced prototype of its 2020 vehicle on the company's closed-off test tracks in April.
There, the hydrogen-powered fuel cell truck, which is designed for ranges of up to 1000 kilometers in the production version, has already completed a thousand test kilometers.
Tests on 3.4 kilometer test track
Testing on public roads will also take place, among other places, on the B 462 near Rastatt, where a 3.4-kilometer test track for trolleybuses has been set up as part of the "eWayBW" project.
This will also involve comparative tests of the battery-electric Mercedes-Benz e-Actros with overhead line and fuel cell trucks from other vehicle manufacturers. Daimler itself is not planning any trucks for the overhead line.
