The reasons for the slight year-on-year decline are mainly due to the surprisingly severe cold snap in March.
SsangYong has received a strong boost in recent weeks. The new Rexton and special, attractive promotions have been very well received.

In absolute figures, only 680 fewer vehicles were sold in the first three months of the current year, but the fluctuations between the brands are considerable: the range extends from plus 38 percent (Jeep) to minus 50 percent (Chevrolet).

The used car market is more balanced.
Although this also resulted in a decrease - albeit only slight - compared to the first quarter of 2017 (0.35%), the fluctuations of the individual brands are much smaller. In the first quarter, 195,840 cars changed hands. The decline is put into perspective by the fact that significantly more cars changed hands in both January (68,427 compared to 65,082) and February (59,982 compared to 58,463) than in the previous year. The decline took place in March (67,431 compared to 73,277).

Percentage winner is the SsangYong brand
Incidentally, the ranking of vehicles traded on the used car market has remained unchanged for years: The Volkswagen brand leads ahead of the three premium brands BMW Audi and Mercedes-Benz The rest of the top ten brands: fifth place for Opel sixth place for Renault seventh place for Peugeot eighth place for Ford ninth place for Toyota) and tenth place for Fiat. Incidentally, the percentage winner is SsangYong with a plus of 16.7 percent and the loser in the first quarter is Daewoo with a minus of 28.1 percent.
