Love Ride 2022: A good idea celebrates anniversary 🎥
WHERE YOU MEET In time for its 30th anniversary, the Love Ride 2022 returns after two cancellations due to corona. As it should be, with ride-out, plenty of music and extra many other program points.
On Sunday, May 8, at 8 a.m., the gates of Dübendorf Airfield will open for Love Ride 2022, Europe's largest biker benefit event to support people with a muscle disease or other impairment.
The 30th Love Ride Switzerland will be musically supported by Philipp Fankhauser, Marc Storace (Krokus), Marc Lynn (Gotthard) and other Swiss artists.
A spectacular air show with the Patrouille Suisse, the Swiss Hornet Display Team and the parachute troop Swiss Parawings, a stunt show by the Freestyle Verein Schweiz and other highlights complete the program.
Ride through the Zurich low and highlands
The highlight of the event is the approximately 60-kilometer ride through the Zurich Unterland and Oberland, which offers people with a muscle disease or other impairment the unique opportunity to ride in a sidecar or on a trike without prior registration or their own equipment and thus forget everyday life and mobility restrictions for a moment.
So that everyone can ride along, sidecars and trikes are especially welcome. Punctually at 11 am - and accompanied by the new anthem of the Love Ride - the ride-out starts with up to 5000 motorcycles, sidecars and trikes. For the first time, the purely electrically powered Zero SR/S in the authority version (gallery left).

A cross-section of the Swiss motorcycle scene is offered by the Bikes & Stuff exhibition, where a diverse range of products will be presented and sold. The Love Ride souvenir store with T-shirts, buffs as well as a special edition sack knife will also be available this year. New is a CD with five songs recorded especially for the Love Ride.

Unbureaucratic financial support
Since the costs of the event are covered by sponsorships and all participants work on a voluntary basis, all proceeds of the day directly benefit people with disabilities via the Awards Committee.
The close cooperation with the partner organizations, the Swiss Muscle Society, the Swiss Cystic Fibrosis Society (CFCH), the Marfan Foundation Switzerland, Pro Infirmis Switzerland and the Swiss Foundation for the Cerebral Palsy Child allows for unbureaucratic, yet professional financial support.
To date, the Love Ride Switzerland has generated around 8,140,000 Swiss francs in donations. Even though the main volume of donations is generated at the charity event, donations are possible and welcome all year round.
