To 300 km/h in nine seconds
The British hypercar has a maximum torque of 1700 Newton meters and accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in under three seconds. It is said to reach 300 km/h in nine seconds.
Lotus gives the range of the 4.60-meter-long, 1680-kilogram supercar as around 400 kilometers. The batteries are said to be fully usable again in just 18 minutes with 350-kW fast charging.
Engineering from Williams Advanced
The electric powertrain was developed by Williams Advanced Engineering, a Lotus partner whose sister company, Williams Racing, is known for success in Formula 1 and Formula E. The 70-kWh batteries are mounted immediately behind the two seats in the center - an analogy to the traditional architecture of the mid-engine sports car
Production sold for current year
Lotus plans to build 130 examples, analogous to the type number. Production is scheduled to start this year and is already completely sold for 2020.
