Lotus: Pop-up store Paris shows the Emeya 🎥
WHERE TO MEET With the opening of showrooms in major cities, Lotus aims to make its presence felt more prominently around the world. At the new location in Paris, the Emeya high-performance sedan was unveiled at the opening.
During Paris Fashion Week, Lotus opened a new showroom in the middle of the French capital and at the same time set a stage for the European premiere of the Emeya hyper GT sedan.
At the Rue François Premier 33, near the magnificent Champs-Élysées in the eighth arrondissement, there is now an opportunity to admire the two electrically powered new models Eletre and Emeya from the English brand up close. The Emira and Evija sports cars are also expected to attract customers there.
After London, Oslo and Munich, Paris is the fourth flagship store of this kind. The entire Lotus dealer network in Europe consists of 68 outlets and is to be expanded to 105 by the end of 2025. Worldwide, 300 dealerships will then be in operation.

Maximum speed 250 km/h
While the Lotus Eletre SUV model is already arriving at dealerships in the first markets, customers of the Emeya will have to wait until the second half of next year for the first deliveries. The new, electrically powered Gran Turismo is equipped with a particularly flat battery that supplies power to one electric motor per axle, resulting in a system output of 675 kW (905 HP or 918 hp). The maximum torque of 985 Nm enables the car to accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 2.78 seconds. The manufacturer specifies more than 250 km/h as the maximum speed. The rear axle of the Emeya's e-drive train, which comes from supplier ZF, is equipped with a 2-speed transmission.
Aerodynamic tuning
Great importance was attached to aerodynamic tuning during the development of the Emeya. Typical features therefore include the active front grille, diffuser and rear spoiler. The electronically controlled air suspension is also standard. Lotus largely adopts the technology of the Eletre for the Emeya. However, the British developers were keen to make the car lower. To this end, the battery pack was designed to be flatter. Thanks to more favorable aerodynamics, it should offer the same range as the Eletre - 400 to 450 kilometers - with slightly lower capacity. Lotus' electric models are manufactured at the Geely plant in Wuhan, China.
Store in Zurich in planning
After the stores in London, Oslo, Munich and Paris, an address in Zurich would now also be due.
Niels de Gruijter, Managing Director Lotus Europe: "That's right, we are in negotiations with a partner, so we will soon be represented in the Zurich area."
