With this vehicle, customers can expect more power and at the same time greater efficiency in terms of consumption and emissions. With the experience gained from two generations of the Prius plug-in hybrid, Toyota has succeeded in developing the new drive for the RAV4.
Zero to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds
With a system output of 306 hp (225 kW), it achieves acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds. Pre-homologation data according to the WLTP standard show CO2 emissions of less than 30 g/km.
New lithium ion battery
To boost the performance of the electric drive over the regular RAV4 Hybrid, Toyota has developed a new lithium-ion battery and equipped the hybrid drive control system with a boost converter. The 2.5-liter gasoline engine is the same as in the regular RAV4 Hybrid.
Range over 60 kilometers
The result is not only fast acceleration. The RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid also offers a greater range in all-electric mode, with zero gasoline consumption and emissions. The expected range is over 60 kilometers. More than the average European commuting distance of 50 kilometers a day.
