The Mustang Mach-E with room for five adults joins the Mustang Fastback Coupe and Convertible Convertible as well as the special editions - planned market launch in Switzerland is the end of next year.
Maximum torque of 581 Nm
Including all-wheel drive (dual electric motor) and the larger battery, the Mustang Mach-E provides 248 kW (338 hp) and a maximum torque of 581 newton meters (Nm). This will be joined - probably from the beginning of 2021 - by a special performance variant: the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT combines 342 kW (465 hp) with around 830 Nm and accelerates to 100 km/h in under five seconds.
Range up to 600 kilometers
The optional Extended Range battery with 99 kWh and 376 cells enables an even greater range: the rear-wheel-drive model can travel up to 600 kilometers with a full battery before it needs to be recharged.
Connected Wallbox from the manufacturer
In the future, Ford will offer a practical solution in the form of a Connected Wallbox that reduces the charging process to just 20 percent of the time compared with a 230-volt household socket. For the Ford Mustang Mach-E with the Extended Range battery and rear-wheel drive, for example, sufficient electrical energy for a further 62 kilometers flows within an hour. A corresponding charging cable is part of the vehicle's standard equipment.
Operation with wiping movements
New to the lineup and a first for a Ford vehicle are the 10.2-inch digital instrument panel (26-centimeter screen diagonal) and the 15.5-inch touchscreen (39-centimeter screen diagonal), which can be easily operated like a smartphone via swipe and swipe motions and eliminates the need for complicated menu guides.
Special container under the hood
Probably the biggest surprise for Mustang fans is hidden under the front hood: a 100-liter front trunk that can easily fit a small travel suitcase. Since, like the MegaBox in the new Ford Puma, it has a water drain valve, it is easy to clean, making it especially suitable for dirty sportswear, muddy hiking boots or wet beach gear.
Limited special edition for launch
The base price of the new Ford Mustang Mach-E is 46,900 euros (rear-wheel drive, electric motor with 75 kWh standard battery).
For the first customers to make a reservation for the new Mustang Mach-E, the model with 99 kWh battery (Extended Range) and 248 kW (338 hp) and all-wheel drive (dual electric motor) is available in a "First Edition". Prices are available on request
