Byton wants to bring an electric SUV for around 50,000 francs in 2020. Now the brand presents the cockpit

Particular emphasis is placed on the design of the cockpit with a range of new technologies for the human-machine interface, the interface between people and their cars.

The cockpit Byton's Shared Experience Display is the world's largest display in a production car.

Displan reacts to changes in light
The position of the display, for example, was developed and tested so that the driver's view of the road is neither distracted nor restricted. The display automatically adjusts to the lighting conditions. The left area of the display behind the steering wheel is reserved for vehicle-relevant information, such as speed or range.

Seven-inch driver tablet in the steering wheel
The seven-inch Driver Tablet developed by Byton is located in the center of the steering wheel directly above the full-size driver airbag. The tablet serves as one of the main interfaces for the driver to configure the vehicle. The eight-inch touch pad between the front seats also allows the front passenger to activate digital content.

Wanted are software developers
In the European market, Byton is cooperating with Amazon Alexa to further develop voice control together. Byton is also inviting software developers from around the world to work with Byton to co-develop new opportunities for apps and content on the Byton Life open platform.
